Problematic

God does not tell us why he has entrusted us with this mission in Haiti, but we can go deep for facts.

In term of religion

Voodoo has root in the religion traditions of West and Central Africa where born Haitians, and in the Roman Catholicism of European Colonized the western third of the Island of Hispaniola in the 17th and 18th centuries. Late in 1803, the Haitians Leaders and Elites tried to suppers the faith in practicing voodoo. Since then, voodoo has become the official religion of Haiti. This disastrous situation has plunged the country into a situation of black misery which develops the wickedness of which 90% of the population has turned their backs on God just to worship the false gods.

In tern of poverty

The population of Haiti affects by poverty in many aspects of everyday life, including housing, nutrition, education, healthcare, infant mortality rates, as well as environment. Haiti has constantly been plagued with low levels of living conditions, with many Haitians moving into the Capital city of Port Au Prince in a bit to escape poverty in the more rural areas of the country. Levels of poverty in Haiti are generally regarded as among the most severe in the western hemisphere.

In tern of Education

In Haiti, more than 200,000 children remain out of school of around Three million in Latin America. However, enrollment rates have been going up in recent years.

There are four important facts which break down the Haitian’s education system:

  • Almost all schools in Haiti are privately run;
  • Most schools ask for tuition fees, a barrier for many;
  • Enrollment rates have rising from 78% to 90%;
  • Waiving tuition fees can help children be a grade that’s appropriate for their age;

Finally, these indices justify an urgent need of intervention by “Save God’s Children”.
